An 11-year-old boy in Boston developed a Gastro esophageal reflux Disease (GERD). According to his mother, Cathy, it was the end of June in the year 2005 when his son developed a cough which usually happens during sleep, and even during daytime. It is only a short dry cough symptom. His pediatrician thought it was only allergy, however, when his son was tested, result showed that his son had no allergy. According to her, it was his son’s asthma that relates to GERD.

Studies show that GERD is likewise normal to infants and children like in adults, though this fact is often times being overlooked. The symptoms come in continual sickness, coughing, and other respiratory trouble.

Children are vulnerable to GERD because of their immature digestive system. Truth is majority of the infants grow out of GERD once they reach the age of one year old.

The medical specialists further stated that symptoms for children may come in difficulty in swallowing foods, or failure to grow. The doctors recommended that in situation like this it is best to lessen the amount of acid in the children’s stomach before it could lead to acid reflux, since this disease is not very curable in children.

However, the doctor suggested some approaches to avoid acid reflux on children; an example of these is burping the infant quite a few times during feeding, or letting the infant stay in an erect position for 30 minutes after nourishing.

Although, for a child ages three and up, doctors suggested to keep them off from sodas that includes caffeine like soft drinks, carbonated drinks,  spicy foods like peppermint, acidic foods like citrus fruits, too much chocolate, and fried and fatty foods. Ideally, establishing a healthy eating habit diet can really decrease the acid reflux in children.

It is also suggested that children will eat smaller meals before sleeping, if possible, do not allow them to eat two to three hours before sleeping, also, elevate the head of their bed for at least 30 degrees.

Further treatments include the use of H2 blockers; this is available in any drugs store. Prevacid, proton plump inhibitors, can also be used in treating acid flux for children.

However, if these treatments fail to stop the symptoms, other treatment method needs to be done. It is very atypical, but doctors’ recommends surgery, this is so far the best treatment for relentless symptoms which do not anymore counter to other treatments.

The Esophageal reflux surgery for children is designated for children who have had unsuccessful medical treatments, and continuous surgery is essential as the child grows.

Now, if you get confused whether when is the time to consult a pediatrician regarding acid reflux. The answer is you observe, observe the amounts of vomiting of the child, if it already comes out in green or yellow or appears to be like blood or coffee grounds, there difficulty in breathing after vomiting, and there is pain in swallowing, immediately consult a pediatrician before the symptom gets aggravated.

So to prevent the occurrence of this disease, stay away from the habit of leaning forward after eating, or worse, sleeping after taking a large amount of food.

Take note, advanced acid reflux disease has a great possibility to end serious medical complications, and it may lead to hospitalization.

Be keen of the possible symptoms so will not overlook it. Take care of your kids.

Ice Climbing Journals

Take a minute to give some consideration to your most recent ice climbing experience. What sticks out in your mind besides the fact it was cold? Did you climb a waterfall? Now think about the first time you ever went ice climbing. Undoubtedly, you remember few things about the geography, people you went with, particular ice climbing routes and spectacular views. The experiences you’ve forgotten are lost to time. If you keep an ice climbing journal, this won’t be the case.

There are famous instances of people keeping journals throughout time. Of course, Anne Frank’s Diary is the best example. In her diary, Anne kept a running commentary of the two years her family spent hiding from the Nazis. While your ice climbing experiences better be more lighthearted, keeping a journal will let you remember them as the years pass.

A good ice climbing journal combines a number of characteristics. First, it should be compact so you don’t have to take up unnecessary space for other things. Second, it should have a case to protect it from the elements and so on. Third, the journal should contain blank areas to write your notes. Fourth, the journal should contain cue spaces to remind you to keep notes on specific things. Cues should include:

1. Who you went ice climbing with,

2. The nature and quality of the ice,

3. Who you met and contact information for them,

4. The geographic and weather conditions, and

5. Any unique things that occurred while ice climbing.

6. The routes you took up the ice and alternatives.

7. Any inside information provided by experienced locals.

At the end of the ice climbing trip, you should be able to get the following from your journal:

1. Contact information for other climbers you met,

2. Enough detail to provide you or a friend with a guide if you climb the location a second time.

3. Memories to reflect upon years later, and

4. Something to pass on to your friends, children and grandchildren.

To get the most out of your ice climbing journal, you should write in it just before you climb, as you summit and when you return. Doing so will give you an accurate picture of your thoughts throughout the climb.

Surely any hunter has tried or at least thought of trying rabbit hunting at least one in his lifetime. Given that it’s so popular even today, it doesn’t seem awkward at all that everybody is on a rabbit hunting fever whenever the season is kicking off. However, if you haven’t already experienced it and still think whether or not to go on that hunting field, then maybe a brief review on this particular type of hunting will make you think about it no more. Read on for essential facts about rabbit hunting, some of which even experienced hunter may not know.

Firstly, rabbit and hare hunting is a worldwide spread phenomenon, managing to attract hunters of all ages and social background. The biggest problem this hunting variety faces towards common belief is that few people consider it a serious and tough type of hunting, such as boar for instance. This is because very few people, compared to the masses, know what rabbit hunting is all about and how difficult it can get, even with the help of man’s best friend. Nevertheless, those that fully understand this give it the appreciation it deserves, and make their contribution to changing people’s inherited ideas felt. In addition, with sustained efforts rabbits and hares are slowly becoming evenly accepted among the mot popular game types in many areas. This comes as a logical consequence of these creatures’ amazing features, which makes hunting them an extremely complicated process.

From the start you should know that rabbits are no example of evolutionary stagnation; they’ve developed sensationally keen senses which allow them to defend against predators. Their preferred tactic is avoiding a direct confrontation, and their amazing sight and hearing abilities make detecting a threat from quite a distance. Also, they have a wonderfully adapted sense of smell, which is useful not only in its survival as predator radar, but in finding food also. In fact, all these great sensorial aptitudes, coupled with the ability to camouflage perfectly into the bush, are like a protective aura for the little creature, a shield meant to keep danger always one step behind. Speaking of steps, the rabbits “super-power” is its famous ability to sprint vivaciously and at high speeds, as well as its legendary and somewhat unexpected endurance.

The spot-and-run strategy has served the little varmint well throughout the ages, but facing a pack of hunting beagles even this is often not enough to save its life. Beagles are specially trained hounds that rely exclusively on their smell to chase and kill rabbits, and bringing a pack along with you on your hunting sessions will surely make a difference. However, no pack of beagles, no matter how well trained and experienced, will do the whole hunt because you, s hunter, play an essential role in the final success. It is up to you to guide them if they loose track of the rabbit, as well as ordering them which rabbit to chase in case several of them pop from bushes as they sense danger.

As you can see, rabbit hunting is more than a Sunday afternoon kind of sport, forcing you to make decision strategically, make every opportunity count and to give your best every time. Hunting experts guarantee that no hunt will be similar to the next, which means that routine is not in rabbit hunting dictionary under the letter “R”. Or at all.

Seven reasons to write Christian Web Content

Keywords:
christian article writing, christian article, christian articles

Article Body:
Why should you write articles for a Christian audience? Christians everywhere are looking for good Christian web content, and when you write quality articles, you help provide that content. When you write Christian articles, you are providing yourself and your web site with web exposure. And when you write articles, you increase your own web credibility.

1) There is a dearth of good Christian articles on the web. Perhaps because there is a perception that there is not as much profit in a Christian consumer (I happen to think the opposite---if you have a quality product, the Christian consumer will purchase from you). Perhaps because the Christian author is not willing to place his articles on a secular web site. Perhaps because Christian authors feel compelled to ‘water down’ their article.

2) By writing to the Christian audience, you provide a much-needed service to the Christian Internet market. Many Christians are simply discouraged by the lack of good Christian content on the web, and thereby spend less time on the internet. By creating good content for a Christian audience, you can help increase the Christian market size.

3) By writing Christian articles and posting them to your own web site or blog, you add good quality content to your own site, helping to increase your search engine visibility.
4) When you write Christian articles and submit them to the various article directories, you create exposure for your own web site. Simply place a link back to your own web site at the end of the article, or in the resource box, whichever the particular article directory prefers. When your article is read, and the reader appreciates your content, they will often click through to your site, providing much-needed web traffic for you.

5) By writing Christian articles and submitting them to the various article databases and directories, you establish backlinks to your own website, which can help with some search engine rankings.

6) When you write Christian articles, you establish yourself as an authority on whichever Christian topic you write about. From your website, you can link to the particular article directories that accept your article, giving you and your web site added credibility.

7) We want your articles! When you write your articles, submit them to both the web site where you are reading this article, and to my website, listed below.

Homemade videos capture a moment in history. They were filmed in black and white more than 40 years ago and they are still used today to capture interesting moments. The person who records them does not have to a professional; but can film a video as long as they know how to use a camera.

Sports enthusiasts record many events for fun or entertainment purposes. Videos such as these can’t be bought at the local video store but can be found at a sports venue or on the internet.

Paintball videos can be used to educate and invite others to participate in the sport. A local club could rent a booth/stall with a television and paintball player to feature the game. Passerby’s who are interested will come, stop, and look at what is being featured and those who are interested could then be invited to sign up to receive further information or a trial game.

These videos can also be used as an instructional tool for those who are new to the game. The briefing could explain the rules, proper techniques of playing and other information that “newbies” need to know about the game.

Paintball videos can also prepare a team for an upcoming match. Paintball competitions occur in the same places nearly every year so a video could provide information about the opposing team, the layout of the venue and the strengths and weaknesses of an opponent that the team might use to its advantage.

Videos cost money so just in case the person does not know if one is worth buying or not, consider watching the trailer. Another idea is to ask those who have seen the video if it is worth the price of purchase.

After purchasing or making a video of an event; take it home and invite friends to watch the highlights of the event with you. Perhaps lessons can be learned to prevent mistakes from occurring in future matches. Aside from watching the video and just admiring how the filming was done done, another idea would be to create a personal paintball video which could highlight tournaments, dos and don’ts about this sport as well as others, or perhaps feature bloopers that were caught on film.

This video could then be sold which might be better than a video from someone else.

This will save money for a person since it was he who took the shots and knows that the video is worth watching.
